9th Tilehurst (Methodist) Guides meet on Tuesdays in term-time. We currently have a full unit of 36 girls (we can’t fit any more in the hall!) and we have a waiting list. If you’d like to join us, please visit the Girlguiding web site to register your daughter. If she's already a Rainbow or Brownie, please ask your leader to add her to our waiting list. What do we do?

Guides take part in a wide range of exciting activities at their regular meetings. We do everything from adventure sports to playing fun games, and from taking part in community action projects to the performing arts.

The new Girlguiding programme follows six themes:

Know myself
Express myself
Be well
Have adventures
Take action
Skills for my future

Camp blanket Each week girls work on Skills Builders and Unit Meeting Activities which build to the six Theme Awards. They also work on interest badges at home, which cover many different hobbies and activities, from Backwoods Cooking to Vlogging.

And we go on camp every year!
