Feel Good Friday

Feel Good Friday – is our much-loved meeting space for people in the local community to meet up, enjoy friendship and a good natter over tea, coffee and biscuits (and cakes most times!) in a warm and welcoming environment. Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, we’re open from 10am to 12 noon every Friday morning; there is no charge for entry or indeed for the refreshments offered. There are craft tables, a well-developed jigsaw table (new puzzles every week), newspapers, quizzes, games, and fun all geared towards making every one of our Friends feel good in each other’s company in a safe and happy place!

Nearly all of our Friends are 65+ years young and find it easy to interact with others and enjoy the fellowship that Feel Good Friday offers every week. Although situated within Tilehurst Methodist Church (and next door to The Link café), we don’t operate on an ecumenical or religious basis. We welcome people from all faiths and none.

Feel Good Friday (FGF) is very popular and currently “full” – we can only safely accommodate up to 50 (fifty) Friends – and so we operate a Waiting List scheme to become a “Friend” of FGF and register for a “FGF Friendship” card. Friendship is our key word – we welcome all people to become Friends but can only cater for 50 registered Friends at any one time.
